Picked up my new toy hauler

Ater months of research and asking questions on this forum and others, I took the 8 hour ride out to Lake Shore RV in Muskegon Michigan on Friday and pulled our new toy hauler home Saturday. I bought a 2017 Cherokee Wolf Pack 25pack12. I may have went a little big for my first trailer, lol, but with all the research and help I received on this forum it was a smooth ride home. The Duramax pulled the trailer with ease and the exhaust brake is incredible in bringing it all to a stop. Thanks to everyone that answered my questions and pointed me towards the Equalizer hitch.

  • Nice looking setup, and nice to see a fellow WNYer on the forum.
  • Awesome. Congratulations.

Could you post some pictures of the inside?
  • What a sweet set-up. Good for you.

Blow the horn when you come through NC on your way to Myrtle Beach or Disneyworld. Trust me, it will happen.

This isn't mine, or where I got it from, but it's the only one I've found online with pictures that has the "party sofa" instead of the dinette option like I have.

Wow. That's an incredible layout, especially for a bumper pull.

Hey, here's a little bit of trivia for you regarding Lakeshore and RV.NET. Years ago we had a run in with spammers where someone with an IP from Lakeshore would set up a new dummy account and start singing praises for how awesome Lakesore was. We spent months playing whack-a-mole with those guys. We got spammed like that for the better part of a year, if memory serves me. The spamming continued like clockwork every Friday until, as the story goes, one of the mods from RV.NET was in the neighborhood and stopped by to visit the manager at the dealership and find out which one of their staff were causing all the trouble.

I've only heard good things about Lakeshore from their customers, so I don't know why they (or just one of their folks) had to resort to internet hooliganism.

My mom taught me to forgive and forget, but I forgot to forget. I don't hold a grudge, but I haven't forgotten.
  • I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Lake Shore RV. In fact I posted a positive review on the FR forums earlier today as I was so impressed with my experience.

Trust me, I was worried reading some of the reviews of them and other dealers online, but they made it well worth my 8 hour trip.

And no, I'm not a spammer for them, just a happy dude with a new toy hauler. lol
