Problems with fiberglass on front of Hobbi 260

The curved front of our Hobbi 260 is looking sad, real sad. Has anyone out there had to repair/replace the fiberglass on the front of their camper? Mine is both bubbling up a bit and sagging in another area.

I can do fiberglass (actually have several gallons of West Systems epoxy and rolls of glass hanging from the ceiling), what is the best way to repair this? I would think cut out the bad and cover with new sheeting, then glass over the sheeting.
  • The curve on the front is the big reason I am thinking sheeting. I can buy 4'x8' sheets of 1/16" fiberglass for ~80 bucks or so, a few of those should do it.
  • Sounds like you know more about fiberglass delamination then most of us do. Sadly this happens from time to time, there were some units that had this happen a lot but I can't recall hearing about it on a Hobbi. You might want to talk with your dealer and/or a boat repair shop. I'd think that front panel will be hard to get smooth to match, but it's been 20 years since we dealt with fiberglass repairs on our sailboat.
