We've never slept overnight with the bikes in the trailer though. We have to unload the bikes to put up the kids' beds.

I have owned haulers since 2002, never had a gas smell in the trailer once all of the toys where unloaded.
It also helps to get the rubber floor option and if gas does spill, it wipes up and doesn't soak into anything.
