Need to adjust the slide for the front bedroom. To get to the adjusters i need to take off the paneling under the hitch and remove the front loading door. I tried last year to adjust last year by taking apart the front bedroom then realized I had to take off the paneling by the hitch to get access to. Has anybody done this? I do understand to take off trim pieces. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

THIS, the post before it and end of Old Biscuits, unless you just have a really terribly designed bedroom slide set up....most bed slide mechanisms are located UNDERNEATH the bed...raise the bed up, you may have to remove some plywood or particle board that may be over the slide mechanism, but that's how I get to mind and the adjustment is very simple....

Are you sure you don't access it from inside. Most have the mechanism under the bed.

Don't know about having to remove all that just to adjust the slide but if that what you want to do.......

Remove all trim......some is double stick adhesive and some have lips that go into metal track.
Then remove all screws holding metal tract
Then remove screws holding panel in place
Then use a utility knife to cut caulking
Pull overhang panel down and pull it out
Then for front storage you will have to remove the screws that go thru support blocks from inside via compartment door
Disconnect any wiring attached to front wall
Remove trim/tract and screws running vertical holding front panel to sidewall

Sounds like a really bad design IF the front overhang/front wall have to be removed just for an adjustment

My bedroom slide is adjusted by lifting up bed to get to storage area then lifting out the floor panels in storage compartment where the motor and slide support/rails are.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

I can't help you with how to take it apart. I can tell you that these come apart very easy. The paneling on the RVs are only attached with brad nails. Get one side lose and give it a pull.

My question to you is....are you sure it has to come apart? Slides are made to be worked on and adjusted. For example, the motors on the Redwoods are behind the trim wood and they're very easy to get to.
