Quick trip to Hungry valley

The RZR has been sitting for awhile and it needed to be ran. I have been bringing up the idea of a quick day trip to Hungry valley for the past few days. (Work and everyday life have been keeping us from a desert weekend trip) So after dinner last night I told the Fam let's just go tonight so we don't have to wake up early. Last minute throw some gear and food In the TH and head out. We arrived at 11:30 pm. Pulled the RZR out and hit the sack. temps were low 40s and wind was howling - the batteries we dead so no furnace, needless to say we froze our tails off. Always good times regardless.

So much for sleeping in :) I'm an early riser and I know it's hard for me to get the girls up on a Saturday morning, correction every morning, so Friday night is easier option.

As the temps get a lil colder and non holiday weekends this place is doable and enjoyable Plus it's the closest we got to riding - about an hour and 15 mins from the house

Morning ride with the dogs

The wind died off in the Am and temps were a cool low 60s. Nice crisp air.

Finally the girls wake up around 10 am :) hit the air antenna switch and surprisingly we get a lot of channels, catch some college football. Tv looks tiny, I think it's like 30" or 28". Not as tiny as the pic :)

My daughter driving, where did time go?

Always needs her warm napping place about an hour after she wakes up hahaha.

The day riders started coming in and we headed out around 2:30

Nice pics. It looks like a good place to ride. We are in your daughters league...we don't like to get up early and would go the night before too. Where is Hungry Valley? It looks like a place that we would want to check out.

It's in Gorman Ca, off the I5. About 20-30 mins north of Six flags magic mountain.
Gorman can be fun On any random weekend, I wouldn't come out on a holiday - way too many kooks.

  • Thanks eDUBz...we will be coming down the I-5 next month. I'll be checking that area out, as we always like riding in new areas.
