Ramp strength question

Ok guys and gals, the wife and I are considering a toy hauler for our next purchase, but we won't necessarily be using it to haul toys. Our idea is to use the ramp as a patio for parties and general guest activities. The question is will the standard ramp be strong enough to support say, 6 to 8 people, all of them moving around at any given time, or kids jumping about? Do I need to request a special reinforced door. I can't find any specs regarding this. Do any of you do this at all? Any help is appreciated.

The unit we are considering is a Coleman Lantern 300TQ.

Thanks for the input. I thought it would be tough enough, but never hurts to check. I'll email Dutchmen and see what I get for specs then.:C

Most of the new ones come with cables to make the ramp into a deck, if not they're not hard to rig up. Using cables rather than a jack assures the deck is as level as the trailer.

You would have to reach out to the manufacturer about the specs, but I would bet it will hold that weight. You will want to either find a way to put something under the end when it's down or rig up some cable hangers to support the door when it's open. Alto be aware that these doors are actually pretty high when opened level to the point that a standard jack stand isn't tall enough.

Iโ€™m not familiar with that trailer, but the owners manual should show the ramp weight ratings. My TH ramp supposedly is rated to 2000lbs as a ramp, and 3000lbs as a deck. We full time in it and we carry a Goldwing in the garage. I honestly donโ€™t know how Iโ€™d get 6-8 folks on the ramp at one time and ours in a 43โ€™ rig. YMMV
