Raptor Tire Wear

Pictured below is the left rear tire off my 2005 Raptor 3018.The excessive wear is on the outside edge of the tire. The right rear tire shows outside edge wear as well but not as severe. These are off of the rear axle. I would suspect a bent axle but think I would see inside edge wear, not outside edge. Any thoughts or recommendations?

I'd say with that mileage I'd put on a new set of 4 and travel on!

Everyone will tell you it is a bent axle, even the manufacture will.
But I say from experience - maybe NOT.
I had a tire do that on outside enough that it was SLICK on outside.
Put on new tire and never wore uneven again!!!! Just saying......

I would to but to bend upward that way I would have had to hit something substantial or the trailer was jacked up with a floor jack under the center of that axle which neither has happened as far I know.

These are not original. I put them on when I purchased the trailer from the second owner. They are the Maxxis M9009 load range "E".

A rough guess on the mileage is easily 12k-14k. I noticed the wear on our trip out west this past August. We were on our way home from Utah to Cleveland when I put the spare on so there was nearly 2k on them alone for this one trip.

What kind of mileage is on the tires? Are they original? I think we need to find the answer to those ques first.

Agreed...since outside on both sides I'd suspect the axle was bent upward in the center exposing more outside edge of the tire to the road. You'll have to find a good trailer shop that can align (bend) the axle (if needed) after diagnosing the problem.

Could be as simple as wearing the edge because of turns. Tire scrub.
