On a boondocker about 7-8 years ago, I fired up a small generator to charge my batteries on the last afternoon. It was on the end of my 25' 30a cord at full extension. Yes, windows were open, but it set off the detectors inside in about 5 minutes. I did =not= have a CO detector, but it nailed the LP detector! Crazy... Shut it down and let things air out for about an hour, closed all the windows and tried again. I got about 20 minutes with the FW closed up tight before it went off again. Ended up having to plug my truck in and run it for a couple hours. NOT what I was wanting to do, for sure.
