Our switch for the inverter is in the storage area on street side off the 5er. The inverter itself is in the front compartment behind the battery.

My guess is that your fridge is maybe bigger than previous models. Maybe a 18CU FT, four door job? While they may have upgraded the fridge, they did not upgrade the inverter. An 800W inverter sounds marginal for a new design fridge. Are you sure it is 800W? Can CC offer an upgraded inverter that will run your fridge? I wonder if that tech gave you good information. Can you get him to send you an e-mail that says, their inverter won't run your fridge?

I don't know about your particular fridge. But the residential models that I have heard of, run 12V (off the truck) while towing. And 120V AC when plugged in.

Well, my CC has that 800 watt inverter and has been successfully running my fridge for years with absolutely no problems.

i called the company that makes the inverter and gave the tech the model no his reply was that the inverter is only 800 watts and wouldn't accomodate my refrigerator especially at start-up. a rhetorical question why would cedar creek install an underpowered inverter?

On my 2011 36CKTS, the inverter is in the front storage area, on the right side, next to the battery compartment. There is a white switch mounted externally on the inverter that turns the fridge on/off. The inverter also has a on/off switch and display panel lights. The fridge, a 18 cu. ft. Whirlpool, also has an on/off switch inside.

Look above your batteries, your inverter should be there. Make sure it is turned on. We looked at a 2015 CKTS today and that is where the inverter was located. Good luck

many times you can tow all day with the fridge closed and it will retain the cold.. then plugin when you arrive. (inverters will suck the batteries dry)

A quick search on the internet shows that your model (don't know what year) has a elecric/propane fridge.

Might try the dealer or CC owner forums.

Our residential fridge has a switch in the cabinet with the rest of the switches to change it over to the inverter when we disconnect from shore power.

I have the Amana res. fridge in my Daydreamer, the batteries supply power to it automatically while in transit and when plugged in the shore power takes over. I have a 4 12v bank of deep cycle batteries and that fridge will use up the power quickly so while I'm on the road fer a few days I run my genny during the evening to ramp up the batteries, I wouldn't own a fiver without a residential frige ever again,we love it!

I leave my inverter set on AUTO and it switches to the battery as soon as it is unplugged.

If the refer came from the factory then you do have an inverter. You need to check things out whether you have a switch ( doubtful) dead batteries (possible) or something else going on. Get out your volt meter and start checking or hire someone to show you the proper operation.

Know the difference between an inverter & a converter. They are far from being the same thing.

A residential fridge, using only 120VAC needs an inverter to operate when not on shore power. Depending on the power needs of the fridge you may need a generous 12V battery bank to power the inverter.
