I agree. Except I would use less water. Use a strong mixture of bleech and Dawn soap. Let the mixture soak up the dirt and mold. Clean off the stuff. Then soak up the******with a towel or wet sponge. Then use Tilex for the tough spots. And, don't forget to rinse off the sides of the trailer.

We have terrible problems with black spots on the roof of our Cedar Creek roof . . . they are mold from the leaves on the trees. Tilex does a great job taking off the mold spots, but you have to be careful with it.
Clean the roof as often as you can . . . . use a lot of bleach with soap, and for the mold spots use Tilex (spelling?).

it certainly kills it on my rough cedar siding on my house. I think a smooth fiberglass surface would be a snap to kill it.

It's not a fiberglass roof. Only Elite Suites had them, you had to special order it on a Mobile Suites.

DO NOT USE CLOROX ON A RUBBER ROOF!!!

Don't believe me? Put a set of rubber gloves in your Clorox solution and leave in the sun for three days. Now take them out. What happened too them? Yea, same thing happening on your roof. No, repeat, NO Clorox. (Chemical engineer)

I have used a mixture off 1/3 Clorox and 2/3 water for years. Does a great job cleaning the mold. But, you must scrub the roof the second time with soap and water to remove the mold spores and traces of Clorox. Never had a problem, just a clean white roof. (Electrical Engineer)

you seem to have left out this quote,

I had the same problem on a motor home that had a fiberglass roof. Tried several products with no luck. Once mold sets up its hard to kill."

Has anybody tried Protectall Rubber Roof Cleaner? Their products usually work very well.

The standard roof on a Mobile Suites is according to DRV is rubber. I just picked up my Mobile Suites. However I ordered the optional fiberglass roof. Fiberglass is standard on the Estates and Elite series.

A few spots on the roof will not kill it. By attacking it with the wrong products, you may destroy the roof.

On our MS we use Mr. Clean erasers to take off the gray and spots. Works great, try it. And I think it's ten years of the rubber roof material. Fiberglass roof is standard on Elite, optional on Mobile Suites.
