Rt 58 Emporia, VA to Portsmouth

Thanks for all your input. This looked like a good alternative to running all the way up to Richmond and picking up 64.

You will see others speeding but I caution you not to follow their example. Emporia is serious about catching speeders.

We run it up and back at least twice a month...no problem - just keep the cruise on or maintain the correct speed. Safe travels.

Good route just do not speed, even 1mph in Emporia

State Patrol likes to hide in the curves along the way.

There really isn't any alternative. The speed limit in Emporia is for real, don't tempt them.

We used to travel it all the time and from what I remember, it's a really good road with no big surprises.
