Head's Up-Portsmouth Ford, Portsmouth NH
Went to purchase a new F150 at Portsmouth Ford. We had bought a previous truck there and really liked the experience. NO MORE. After looking at multiple trucks we started talking numbers. First the salesman asked what we wanted our payments to be. We refused to give him an answer. We specifically stated which truck to do the numbers on but the salesperson did them on another, less expensive truck and tried to pass it off as the other truck, them claimed he was confused. Ummm, sure. Many of the trucks had hand-written window stickers in addition to the factory window sticker as they were trying to unload 2016 & 2017 models. He then started to re-calculate based on the factory sticker, not the handwritten one. When we corrected him he said we were "wrong" so we went back to the truck in question to look. The hand-written sticker was on the seat, not on the window, so he said "sorry, it must have fallen off". Went back inside and started the numbers again. At that point he said they couldn't offer that truck at that price any more. Husband said that they should honor the hand-written price and he refused. We requested he ask the manager and he refused. So we left. We went to Stoneham Ford last Saturday, had a no-hassle experience and now have a brand new truck. Buyer beware.
