Slide out roof repair

On our outing this weekend we discovered a leak in our slide out roof so I am about to undertake the repair. Ordered the EPDM membrane today. I will also be replacing the wood underneath. Has anyone attempted a repair like this and any tips before I start?

    you may end up discovering the leak damage could be worse and end up reframing the whole slide. Use eternabond on all seams to prevent future leaks,and dip all screws in proflex sealant before installation. Water can wick in through any screw that is not sealed. I'd use all new stainless screws

    Thank you for that advice. It may have some other issues but I am entering into the project with crossed fingers.
