Slide out uneven

My big slide out on my Laredo 29BH goes all the way out at the top but lacks about 1-1/2 inches being all the way out at the bottom--at floor level. No problems with rain leaks, but it's just obvious that it's uneven from inside. Someone said it may just need an adjustment. Anybody have similar issue?
  • Is this a Keystone product? I know they switched from hydraulics to a cable system for their slides. I've heard Keystone owners complaining the slides get out of alignment easier than previous models that had hydraulic slides.
  • Mine did that at one point. I could pull a little on the slide as it came in to keep it even. Took it in and had it adjusted, now it is all good.
  • If your trailer is still under warranty, take it to the dealer and have the misalignment repaired.

We had a similar issue with our 2014 Avalanche and after several operations of the slide, the drive mechanism broke loose from the slide and damaged the slide exterior facia and mechanism. When the slide drive was repaired, it was found that the front end of the slide still had 2 1/2 inches to move when the back end of the slide was closed. The gear on the front drive had to be uncoupled and turned to move the front rack bar and the front of the slide in the 2 1/2"
  • Take it in, slides do come out of alignment and should be a simple adjustment

    Dumboldles
  • Keep in mind that they are not attached to anything at the top. I agree with something caught being the likely issue.
  • We had to have our kitchen slide adjusted. It was tight at the top and about 1 inch bottom on the front side from closing tight. The rear side was fine. But it was adjusted by dealer under warranty.
  • Is this a new unit... possible warranty?

If it's worked fine before this, I would suspect something may be caught between edge of slide and the wall. Maybe a shoe, toy, carpet,...

Never had to mess with stops or adjustments on any of our slides. Can't advise you on that.
