My mistake for a poor choice of the word "lubricant." I should have said something such as a "conditioner" or "protectant" to keep them from drying out.

I am having mine replaced now! Mine have torn from the top about a foot! I have insurance for everything and am hoping they cover it! It is not dry or cracked, just torn ! ! I am having two slide out redone and the cost is about 7-800, both on the street side, curb side is fine!

Well now I feel really dumb. Have never used anything on my slideout wipers. Also in trouble have a few that are in bad shape. Has anyone ever had to replace the wipers? Looks like it could be a big job.

There is always a lot of confusion between the wiper and the seals. The wipers, on the outside, are best treated with a good rubber protectant. The seals, on the inside, are best treated, as most manufacturers recommend, with talcum powder or baby powder which is talcum with a perfume added. The powder stops the sticking and noise when the slide opens. the easiest way to treat is from the inside. Close the slide a foot or two, put the talc on a rag or paper towel and wipe it on. It just takes a few minutes.

My owners manual said to use baby power also. Have been using for a year now and no issues.

Seems to be a little confusion here. Protect All and 303 Protectant are not the same. I have had good success with Protect All as a polish and it is very good at removing black streaks when applied. Agree with other that the 303 Protectant washes off and add little protection.

Alley Fox is correct. Seals/wipers need friction to flip.
