Slideout

Have a 2006 5th wheeler Keystone Outback 31 ft. It has one slideout. We are green as it gets but trying to learn. We have not even taken it out yet, except to for repair, the slideout would not open. Repair said it was jammed took 5 minutes. We brought home it opened up, we deceided to move it last night to the driveway and now the slideout will not open up again! What are we doing wrong. We have checked battery and it is charged.

Frustated to say the least.

I would also check to see how level unit is.

Mine sometimes has a problem which I can easily overcome, although I have not resolved why it happens yet. Occasionally when I push the switch to move it nothing happens, it is just like there is no power to it. What I do is go to the manual-wind crank and turn it slightly by hand and then everything is back to normal. A repair shop showed me this and said it was because the motor "has a flat spot", whatever that means.

Were you perfectly level before you tried to run it out?
Side note: get the repairman to SHOW you what they did you may need it again.
Learn all you can you'll soon find you can't pay for everything done even on a new unit.
Good Luck, Mike
