Slideouts awning

Question

Im adding slideout toppers or awnings to our 5th wheel and was wondering of solera from lippert which is what the trailer came with, is it a good brand?

If not, what's a good brand out there?

I believe dometic is a great brand, but is more money, btw, what's a weathershield on a dometic, is it some kind of cover for the wing when closed?

Where is the best place to buy them?

Which ever you choose, consider upgrading to the model that protects the canvas with a metal wrap or tube when it's retracted.

Thanks guys and thanks for the link, didn't know about the wind but hopefully we don't have that issue often, we don't live in the trailer and use it only in long weekends. Thankfully we never had a wind issue with the patio awning but it's something new that I have just learned.

I saw dometic offer that protection and will look into that with the other manufacturers.

Where would be a good place to buy, CW?
