I purchased an andersen hitch. I just got it today. Now I am waiting on the bed rails so I can get it installed.
God Bless!

I have been checking out Anderson hitches. The have 3 models. There is the gooseneck mount, the toolbox model, and the rail mount model. Which model is recommended? I already have a gooseneck hitch ball.

Then that would be the one with the gooseneck connection . What kind of weight are you towing ? I have the rail mount steel version . I already had the frame adapter that goes to the OE puck system for another hitch that took the standard rails . I would recommend the rail mount ,but you would need bed rails if you don't already have them. The one pictured above is the one I have. Wouldn't tow with anything else after having the Andersen , having towed with both conventional ,and the Andersen

I will be towing a Forest River Sierra 5th Wheel. It weighs just over ten thousand pounds. I think it is 10,010.

Great candidate for the Andersen fifth wheel hitch . Mine is rated for 20K .

This is the Andersen for rails, the only version I'd recommend. It is available many places, but can be seen, ordered, and reviewed at E-trailer.

X2 (only mine is in a Chevy)

With the right pin box clearance to side rails and bed, the Andersen can give you approximately 9" more distance from the cab.

Check out the PullRite super lite at around 50 lbs. Similar design as the Andersen hitch.

That would certainly be a great option, I prefer the Andersen only because I wouldn't have to get up into the bed to lock the handle like on that PullRite. The locking handle on the Andersen attaches to the pin box, and can be accessed from the rear of the truck, without having to get into the bed . Reached from just standing on the ground.

ventrman, Reese makes the Sidewinder. I have the one with the air bag included. They are very nice. I got mine from the dealer I bought my 5th wheel from but you can get them from any reputable RV place including etrailer.
