Small Frig.

Will a 750 watt inverter power my spare 4.5 cu ft frig when I travel for 6 hrs. It runs at 1.5 amps, start up is 6 amps, but it will already be at correct temperature. I was going to hook it up to spare battery in basement or should I hook up to trailer battery.
  • I just get everything to temp and go. 6 hours isnt a whole lot of time. Ours will keep cold all day as long as people are not in and out of it. All we use our for is pop for the kids though so if it should happen to get a little warm nobody is going to die.
  • I use one that size on mine and it's very marginal
You must have less than eighteen inch leads and perfect connection and nothing else on the battery or it will trip off
Not a good surprise at the end of the day
    We're getting a bigger inverter
  • As long as your rv battery is being charged by your vehicle while you travel that inverter should be fine for a "bar fridge". You may not have full batteries when you arrive, but I would imagine you have a powered site to top it up...or you wouldn't have a 110v small fridge along.
