Tesla 3950 questions

I'm asking these questions for a friend, who just picked up a '15 Tesla 3950 and got, IMO, a very lousy PDI from La Mesa in Mesa.

1) Where is/are the battery(ies) located? He's either got a bad battery or they're not charging. I a$$-u-me there's a disconnect that's off so the house batteries aren't charging.

2) He's having issues in getting the generator fueled from the on-board "service station" hose. Keeps wanting to spit back out and the genny seems to be out of fuel. I'm wondering if there's a fuel shut-off valve that's in the off position and the genny tank could actually be full. Is there a gauge on that tank?

I haven't seen the rig, yet, so can't really be much help. He's got about another week on the "warranty" to find anything wrong, so time is of the essence.

TIA,
Lyle

I found this video, it shows the fueling center and gauge with switches around 3:30 mark, and the battery disconnect at the 5:00 minute mark.

The battery(S) are in the front compartment near the generator, under the nose. As far as fueling, sounds like either the vent hose or the fill hose is crimped shut. My buddy had one and I don't remember anything about a fuel "shut off: valve.
The fuel gauge is selective for the Gen tank or Fuel tank with a switch in the fueling center.
Good Luck

Thanks for the info; I'll pass it on. Is there a battery disconnect up there, too?

Lyle

It does have a battery disconnect. It's in the front door on the left side, big red switch on the left side of the compartment.

No warranty. This is a '15 and was previously owned. The 2 weeks is what La Mesa is giving him to find any issues.

Not to be a jerk, but he's 51 weeks into ownership and still doesn't know where the batteries are? If that's the case, then he likely hasn't been maintaining them (or just "it", since he probably hasn't added additional batteries himself) and they/it are/is shot.

No, he's about 4 =days= into owning it, which is why I said La Mesa's "PDI" was severely lacking...

Oh. This confused me:

He should have another 51 weeks left in his warranty then. He has a one year warranty, not a one week warranty, right?
