Texas Seaweed

Any current campers on the Texas Gulf Coast? We were planning to head to Bolivar peninsula this weekend and had been reading earlier this month that it was very bad! Anybody on the Peninsula or Galveston with a first-hand report.....thinking we may reschedule to August.....no fun swimming in vegetable soup and the marine life smells pretty as it rots when the seaweed gets washed ashore....
