TPMS advice

You can get a repeater that will carry the signal farther.

Search this Forum for `tpms' then search the results for the manufacturer of interest. We are happy with our Pressure Pro.

Good call on the new tires, I put on a new set of Goodyear 614 RST (235/85 R16) last year and I love them, they wear like iron!! I have the Tireminder Click on both truck and trailers, it's caught two slow leaks so far that could have been blow-outs (that was with the old set I used to have hence the up-grade) and I wouldn't leave without with out it. Tireminder gives me "real-time" info as to pressure and temperature at a glance and a very noticeable alarm when needed. One thing though I did add the antenna booster they offer as Wi-Fi on the road effects the reception and would recommend it off the start, Tireminder research is a great company to deal with if you need any customer support after-the-sale also they offer new replacement batteries and O-rings every year for free, a real class act!

I use the Truck Systems Technologies (TST) 507 system with the flow-through sensors on both the truck and trailer. I also use the repeater to boost the trailer tire signals up to the receiver. I'm very pleased with the system since installing it in mid-2014.

Do you need to rebalance the tires due to the weight of the transmitter?
And why is there the choice of brass and aluminum?

I didn't, and I haven't noticed any imbalance vibration in the truck, either with the OEM tires or the Michelins I just installed.

Dunno about the choice of materials unless it's to prevent galvanic corrosion with your valve stem material.

I don't have any experience with these (yet) but have been researching them. From what I'm reading about them the brass are the preferred ones because they don't corrode onto your valve stems. Again, this is what I read, but it makes sense to me.

No you don't have to rebalance your tires, one thing I did was have short valve stems installed so my TST pass through monitors don't hang out pass the tires. I also didn't need a amplifier on my setup.

x2 on Pressure Pro. Coming up on 8 years and only had 1 sensor fail with no other issues.
