Yeah, a repeater with the TST system is sometimes necessary. Mine will lose a sensor every once in a while. I haven't gotten the repeater yet, but probably will. Like was mentioned TST's major flaw is the very slow reporting of a lost sensor. I've had it happen and it really can take an hour to alert you. Waaaay too long IMO.

FWIW I just replaced the batteries in 4 out of 6 sensors after at least 2 years and the O-rings were all fine. I did clean them and lube them before reassembly.

As mentioned, the TST system doesn't notify of lost sensor for approximately an hour. On my 35 foot 5er I noticed one of my sensors not showing the the same temp/pressure swings as rapidly as the other tire on the same side. It's really quite interesting how much things change just based on which side of the rig is facing the sun. Anyway, added a repeater in the fwd bay and it works like a charm.

Make sure you have new o-rings prior to changing batteries as they crumble when you open up the units.

We have a TST 507 system and it worked flawlessly for two years until we were coming home from Texas this spring and I started loosing signals, the only thing that was different was I was using my Garmin GPS and it was close to the monitor, put the Garmin away and all was well agian.

The tst 507 also had an ant with a 5 ft wire so that you can mount the ant on the rear window of your truck

A major problem with the TST system a loss of signal from a sensor will not be reported for 1 hour.

I had a Pressure Pro which I replaced with a TST system. I wish now I had kept the Pressure Pro.

I tow a utility trailer behind the 5th wheel so I needed something to increase the range of my system.

Pressure Pro has an external antenna part number ABPCA-SMA

Available here and other vendors.

The antenna also works great with my TST system. Same antenna connection on the receiver.

I mounted the antenna under the rear of my truck on the factory trailer hitch.

What I like about the antenna no need for power and you never forget to turn it on like you may with a repeater.

I have a 34' 5er with TST 507. Most of time all sensors register. But occasionally one would drop out. So I added a repeater.

We have the TST 507 system also. The sensor for #1 axle right side of 5 ver was not working. 2 year old system. I had trouble finding 1632 batteries in socal. When I got home I pulled the sensors and all batteries read approx 3 volts except the bad sensor read .9 volts. Replaced all batteries and all is great again. BTW 1632 Duracell batts at Safeway were $5.99 each. Ordered 8 online to carry for next time.

I also have the TST 507 on a 32' 5er and would lose a couple of sensors intermittently, a repeater from TST mounted in front storage compartment near the battery box solved that problem. ๐Ÿ™‚

I also have the 507 with a 33 ft. 5th wheel. I installed the repeater because mine would lose all the sensors at times particularly when in an urban area. The repeater solved that problem. If you aren't getting the same signal all the time I would think it is something else. You might try changing the sensors to a different position and see I that makes a change.

Had the same problem check your valve stems some are screwed in to far. The sensor has to push on the valve stem in order to get a pressure reading some times just backing out the stem out a turn or half turn will do.

I have the same system. I have a 42 Ft unit and do not need a repeater. Perhaps a battery change would help? I would try that before I would purchase a repeater.

Repeaters or boosters for TPMS systems are brand and model specific. Contact TST to find out about yours.
