Using this hitch with light 5th wheels makes sense.

I love the hitch and its completely understandable why its called a trailer-saver. Just watch their videos ( I made my own, too) and you can see all the dampening that it puts between the truck hitch and the pin box. There's no doubt that it cushions the shock to the pin box and frame of the fiver.
Granted pin box and frame should be able to take a lot, however, I wonder how many that have had frame issues were using solid hitches compared to air.

A very impressive hitch. I've only heard of positive reviews.

I find it interesting that with a 3500 DRW you felt the need to need a hitch like the Trailer Saver for a 13,000# GVWR 5er. You must want the TV to ride smoother than when empty.
No doubt a very nice hitch, just seems overkill for the are and TV combo.
Lighter weight trailers bounce around and chuck too. The ride with my 10,000# fifth wheel was terrible before I upgraded to a TrailerSaver TS3. I wish I had read reviews like this and bought the hitch at the outset. Also on a 3500 DRW. OP, thanks for the post.

After a couple thousand miles with this hitch, I can say with 100% confidence that this will improve your ride drastically. I came from 2 different B&W hitches and while they are best solid mount hitch on the market, there is no comparison and really shouldn't be as its like comparing apples and oranges. To look back in the rear view mirror and watch the rig dance around on the bags is truly impressive. Expensive yes , worth it yes.

I agree they are a quality product. Did you have a TrailAir air bag pin box with either B&W you owned?
No, I like my MorRyde Pinbox. The fore and aft cushioning of the MorRyde is a good compliment to the Trailersaver
