Trashcan in 5ver

Ours is an older model, so we installed 2 cuphooks in one of the lower kitchen doors and simply attached old grocery and shopping bags (plastic of course) When we run out we use regular garbage bags. We store the bags in a plastic milk jug with a hole cut into it. We save them at home and throw a couple of jugs in the 5ver when we leave. They don't hold much but we don't make much garbage either.

Love this great idea, but I wouldn't dare take a saw to the corian.

We have tons of storage under the sink that I don't want to use, so ours is sitting by the back door. "Simple Human" makes a skinny tall 13-gallon kitchen trash can with a locking top. I realize this isn't what the OP asked for - but I'm throwing it out there for those not lucky enough to have a place to put a trash can.

Just like our house, there is a place under the sink.

We discovered that a cat litter bucket (the type with flip top lid) works good for us, as we can put a trash bag in and close lid which seals to keep ants out.

We installed a slide out trash can under the kitchen sink. You can find it at any big box hardware store.

We have a 6" factory hole in the countertop. Trash can sits under the hole behind a cabinet door.

Our Landmark also has a dedicated cabinet in the island which holds a full sized, 13 gallon kitchen can.

Our Copper Canyon has a built-in tilt out trash bin right under the sink.

Our last 2 5vers had a shelf under the kitchen sink we had cut and the edge finished as part of the pdi. Now a regular kitchen trash bin fits nicely.
