The difference is in stopping ability. The DRW has double rear rubber on the road & bigger brakes. Even that is a minor difference IMO. The huge difference is the stability that the DRW provides. All the add ons that people put on their SRW cannot compensate for the inherent stability that the extra width of the DRW.
My brakes are exactly the same as the DRW version om my truck. I DRW does not have double the rubber on the road. It has more rubber on the road on the back hence the higher capacity rating for the rear axle but it actually has less rubber on the road in the front. The extra width in the rear has nothing to do with how stable it feels going down the road unless the suspension was sitting bottomed out on the bump stops.
