- Johno02ExplorerIts about the best thing on the market. I can see where one with power and a remote would be a great idea. Bet I haven't seen one yet.
- wildtoadExplorer IIThe Winegard Batwing antenna is about the best antenna you can have. Add the Wingman attachment and it is the best. If you have to use a step stool to access the crank then so be.

In RV land there is nothing better than the Batwing.
There is an electric crankup model, but your step is a whole lot cheaper - PawPaw_n_GramExplorer

And less likely to break / fail - as long as you remember to crank it down before you hit the road. - donandmaxExplorer

One method we use so we don't drive away with the batwing extended is to hang your ignition key from the batwing handle. Works every time. No key no start..SCVJeff wrote:

Most times I do not raise the arm up at all and still have good reception. I can just barely reach our crank handle but my wife needs a step to reach it. Installation time was longer to climb up and down from the roof than it was to put it on. Very simple.
-Bryan - Michelle_SExplorer IIIThere are omni-directional antenna that don't require cranking up, down, or rotating, but their gain is poor comparied to the BatWing. Windgard now has our or is coming out a new automatic Over the Air Antenna, but it's pricey.
- Mile_HighExplorerThis is the latest greatest from Winegard and will eliminate the cranking or finding, but I'm not sure it is available to buy yet:
Rayzarauto
It is supposed to retrofit in the batwing location.
