Water lek issue
My first time at this site.
Thought I would share an experience with the Cougar 331 5th wheel trailer.
I noticed that the underneath of the trailer has a kind of cardboard type enclosure that keep critters out. It was bulging downward an appeared it was full of water. I new it was not from my on board water system as everything is pink with rv antifreeze, this was clear water - rain water.
I removed the holding screws that holds the undercover at the very back of the trailer and was shocked at the amount of water that came out.
Bottom line is that the wire plug on the rear of the trailer had no sealant or clay type material, so leak number 1, number two there is a wrap type material that must be used under the floor decking, then laid onto the trailer frame it was full of water, meaning the wood floor has likely absorbed so moisture.
And Leak 3 the water dripped down to the underlayment and caused the noticeable bulging of the under carriage.
So we love the trailer and I will fix it myself, and properly correct the leaking. Check you rigs under carriage if you have one, standing water is no good anywhere on an R.V.
Thanks for the time.
