Water softeners
I am going to get water softener and would like some opinions on witch one works well and is easy to regenerate . Also where should a water filter be put in system, before or after the softener.

- I use an (on the go)softener and love it. water filter is mounted on board ahead of system.
- On the Go, but a sediment filter and a carbon filter in front of the softener.
How often you have to regenerate the ion bed depends on the water you are getting.
Ken - Buy the one that you can get for best price as they all use same type of ion exchange resin beads and use the same table salt for regenerating
And the higher number the longer it will last.......8000 grain, 10000 grain etc
10 grains per gallon (hard water)......8000 grain unit/treats 800 gallons before needing regen - you can get an on the go softener on amazon that is $275 and treat 2000 gallons before needing service. you can use reg table salt
