I have a 2005 Carriage 35'. Just came from Ontario to Florida and had a blowout on the trailer in travel. Caused a lot of under-wheel well damage and structure damage. Later when I got there I proceeded to plug in. As some of the wires were exposed under the wheel well, I was holding my breath. After plugging in, a few beakers kicked off but all reset with the exception of one plug. The micro wave. If I try to reset that breaker it kicks off the whole trailer at the post. So anyway, if I leave it off everything else is fine. A week later all of a sudden my trailer inside ceiling lights will just go off along with the fridge and will stay off for an hour or two and then just as suddenly will come back on, This repeats itself sporadically throughout the day a couple of times. ????? Any ideas??

Ceiling lights are 12 volt.Microwave is 110 volts.2 entirely different circuits and systems. So you've got at least 2 wiring problems. Get a volt meter and start checking.Or, hire someone that knows what they're doing - you're risking a fire. Or worse.

Agree....there is a short...sounds like more than one. Disconnect power to your trailer, battery too, and rewire them. Get some wire and some wire nuts to make some temporary repairs. Once done, try it out. If all is good, make more permanent repairs via solder and wrap the connections real good.Shall we turn this into a tire thread?

Don't know how they wire up a FW. But I had a blowout too on my MH that took out my entire sewage bay. Repaired that and was on my way no problems.Fast forward a few months and I got stopped for no side lights. Well I eventually found that the rv manufacturer ran the wires from side to side for the lights up and wrapped over above the axle and up and over the beam, with over 4 spliced connections. :RCrawl 'under neath' your RV and 'follow all those wires' they could be cut and/or loose connections from the blow out. THAT is where I found my electrical problem from the blowout.

Thanks for the heads up on the damage from a blowout....I drive 56-58 mph, TPMS and stop at almost every rest area....travel between 9 30 am and 2 30 pm and see most who pass me three times, still have not figured out that math....

There is nothing "weird" about your issue.

Fix the wiring and you will fix your "weird" problem. In fact, you should not even connect your rig to ANY electrical source until it's repaired.
