- RonzieExplorerI was in the same boat and researched for about a year. Loved the Can Am but the four seater is way too long for the woods. Doesn't have the same ground clearance as most others (don't believe the specs). Ended up with the Teryx 4 and the thing is a tank. Just got back from 4 days in Northern New Hampshire "Riding the Wilds", and my family of four had a blast. It never skipped a beat, and the tight package and stability of the four seater is perfect in the woods.

That's the problem I had with my original Kawasaki mule was short travel suspension. The other was no power steering on the heavy beast. Where I will be riding tight trails with lots of tree roots and rocks. It needs to be a 4 seater as well. Have a friend that is a dealer that carries Kawasaki, Yamaha and Artic Cat and would prefer to buy from him, (always treated me well). Would like to stay around 50".
Big fan of our turbo 1000 RZR- Its a real gem in all sorts of terrain.
The only draw back is if you frequent 50" or less trails-
For 50" or less my choice would be a real comfy ranch quad over a sxs. The 50" or less SXS's have little in the way of suspension and just wear you out IMO.
Get two ranch quads if you need to haul four, stay under 50" and want a reasonably plush ride. :)
Now if you can be over 50" wide you have lots of four seat utv options. I think the RZR is a great option- but the others are all very good! - colliehaulerExplorer III

If you aren't concerned with 50", then the sky is the limit. We are looking at going to a 4 seater eventually, most likely a Polaris - however - the Honda 1000-5 is the first from them that's worth considering. Their other 4-seat offerings have been lacking. This one looks promising. - colliehaulerExplorer III

Nice looking UTV.
We recently were looking for a 4 seater to cruise around in for family and friends. We have a really nice (stock) 2009 Rhino that we can also use on the trails or around the property with its dump bed. After shopping and driving all the different units we ended up getting a 16 Kawasaki Teryx 4. Not the fastest, doesn't have long travel suspension, but the Teryx's have proven to be reliable, has very comfortable seats, has a 3 year warranty, is perfect for our local trails, and was priced right (they are all expensive but this one was on the low end for a 4 seater). We've only had it a short time but we are already having a blast with it which is what it's all about.
Just have to make sure it fits in whatever toy hauler we end up buying.

Where I will use it any utv can use the county roads and in town, just have to stay off the state roads/highway.
The advantage of the Orieon is DOT compliance in all the states. UTV's may be street able in some states, but other states are very restrictive on their use and do not recognize any of these type vehicles as appropriate on the street. That compliance is not something you can buy from Polaris unless you are looking at a Switch Blade. - BedlamModeratorThe advantage of the Orieon is DOT compliance in all the states.
