Hi, I've had trouble with Shurflows and Flojets. I need another again and was wondering what brand do you guys recommend? I've read about Aquajets, are they any good? Thanks for any help, Glenn

Carry a spare. Guaranteed you will never need it. Don't know offhand what brand I have but it has been faithful since 2009 pumping for an average of 150 overnights a year. We fill our tank through a water softener then use the pump for all water needs.

Yes, I have a spare marine grade pump never out of the box.

Harbor Freight sells a impeller type pump that looks interesting. I know nothing about it other than 12 volts and used for a spray system (bugs pestisides etc)
Should be quite. Next time I need a pump i'm checking into it.

The 5.7 is GONE.... Kaput!
Nothing but a headache from customers and the factory. They replaced mine with a 4GPM pump that I HATED, so its now a spare to the FloJet that has been flawless.

I have paid big bucks for the Shurflo smart sensor 5.7 and have burned up three of them, off warranty of course. When they work they work great, its like being at home in the shower! I now now using a Flojet that I had as a spare and its a 3 gpm and its horrible.

I had the 5.7 too! I loved it. Quiet, firm pressure. Mine quit last year. Tried the Flojet equivalent, I think the VSM or something. Piece of junk. ended up with the newer Shurflo that doesn't cycle, but isn't the variable speed. Cant remember the model number. It's ok, but not as good as the 5.7.

I replaced my 14 year old pump with a shurflo revolution last summer. Its very quiet and works well and have had no issues.
