Hi,

The picture below show a device that is in the battery compartment of my 2010 Keystone Cougar. What is it called?

I have power going into the "+" terminal, but no power output to any of the output terminals. Is there a main fuse or breaker for this? a reset button?

Thanks.

It looks like you have a Lippert Remote control system, if you contact Customer Service at Lippert they will probably send you a new remote and instructions on how to pair the new remote to your control panel. By the way it is very handy especially in hooking up your camper and unhooking.

The landing gears are connected to the terminals in the picture that says "manual". A few days ago, using the rocker switch, the landing gears would not work. I unhooked the wires from control box and wired them to the battery and the landing gears worked again. That is why I attribute the box not working.

I never got a remote when I bought the 5'er used, so I can't test the other terminals.

Do you have anything that isn't working? Lots of devices have power in and nothing on the output, if nothing is activating them. (Be it a remote, on/off switch or sensor).

Hi, I took some pic's of the control panel, the pen is pointing to the location of my remote in storage. by recessed I ment that it is flush with the front of the panel, there are places to get your fingers in there to get it out. I took it out and took a pic of it with a tape so you get an idea of it's size. I also took a pic of my box, the power comes in on the right and the slides, awning and lights are on the left, that's what I figured out so far. Hope this helps ๐Ÿ™‚ Dan

PS HELP how do I attach pic's

Hi Bemota,

Can you clarify where it is located? I am not sure what you mean by the recess by the slide control.

The previous owner never gave me a remote nor mentioned it. I have owned the unit for 3 years and have never seen a remote? Anyone have a picture?

Thanks.

Hi ! I just got a 2011 Cougar, still playing with things, anyway, I have a similar box. Finally figured it out, it's a "Cougar Multi- Function Remote", the remote control is located in a recess at the bottom of the control for the slides etc. Mine is held in place with Velcro, it controls the four slides, landing gear, awning, and some lights, has a built-in flashlight. You can operate slides while outside watching for obstructions. So far I like it. Dan

I'm guessing you don't have the "remote" for it.
I'm an expert in only one field....I believe it's somewhere in Kansas.

Looks like the 'EZ Camp Cougar' Remote control box.

If this is it, it allows the slides/awnings and auto levelers (if equipped) to be opened via a remote control. Isnt that fancy?

The output terminals most likely wire right to the motors of the slide/awning that they control. The Manual Switches allows the buttons inside to work. When activated the box will give power to the appropriate output.

A built in mirror and dual automotive LED docking lights are all you need to align your truck to a Cougarโ€™s extended hitch pin. This can be controlled by using the E-Z Camp Cougar Remote, a remote control providing a convenient way to control your docking light, electric slide out, landing gear and electric awning! The remote even comes with a high emittance LED flashlight!
