This is directed more towards the part-time travelers rather than full-time due to usage, but I look forward to reading everyone's input. I'm curious how long everyone has their 5th wheel before upgrading. I know some people that change vehicles like underwear and just wondered if trailer life is the same.

first 4 about 3 years each. Quality was poor.

We now have a Carriage Cameo bought new 2010. We still have that trailer as its still as good as new. So we have had it about 6 years.

Good information! I appreciate everyone's input. I'm trying to factor in usage x wear ÷ maintenance + upkeep = longevity. I figure I'm off 2.5 months in the summer and if I can squeeze 2 weekends a month durring decent weather months that will possibly convince me to pull the trigger on buying. If I don't take out a gas pump or traffic signal within the first month of ownership, I'm pretty good at keeping my vehicles looking newish and holding on to them for as long as possible.

We've owned our '04 Komfort since new. Were it even a mid-profile, we'd likely keep it for a few more years, with a few mods. DW just can't handle the lo-pro bedroom any more, so it's going away...if I can get someone to buy it.

We were long time truck campers before going with a 5th wheel trailer.
Three truck campers in the '60s and '70s.

1st 5th wheel trailer was a new '84 Aljo..
2nd 5th wheel trailer was a '94 Wilderness..
3rd is our current '97 Park Avenue which will be our last.

The only other 5th wheel we owned was a 2011 Cyclone. Sorriest camper we've had. Kept it two years and then finally sold.

Our first camper ever was a 2004 Puma TT. Four years, drug it all over the southeast, and it was flawless. Other TTs such as our 2010 Sabre and 2014 Work & Play also did really well but we had both of those a little over a year for each one.

Oddly enough, the cheaper the camper, the more reliable they have been for us. But fortunately, our new Vengeance 5er has been really good so far this first year.
