I don’t know if it’s been done before or not but I was thinking about keeping a running list of real truck weights by year and type, and trailer weights by brand, size and what the total combined weig...

Towing 27' Wildcat with 2005 GMC 2500HD Diesel LLY Duramax / Allison-
total weight 16,180# -
Capacity 23,500#
Truck - 6800# - GVWR 9,200#
Trailer - 9,380# - (dry weight - 6,800#)
Pin Weight - 1,740# -
leaving 7,640# on axles (rated 10,500#).
Plenty of safety margin all the way around.
Weights taken on a certified scale
