Where to put a dryer vent

I did mine on a new 5W, little scary. Get a stud finder and locate where you want to drill the 4" hole that's required. Drill a pilot hole and start the drilling from inside. Stop before going all the way through, go outside and finish this stops any bad chipping. The vent is large enough to cover slight imperfections. Install the vent line heaping it as shot as you can. Took the wife and I a couple hours for the complete install. Love it, no more laundromats, and we do laundry evenings while in camp.

The shotest, most direct route to the outside would be best. Howsomeever - my vent is directly under the awning when the awning is deployed. Good for winter, not so good for summer.

We just went through a W/D installation in a fifth wheel with the W/D closet and prep in the far right front (curb side) of the trailer. Water and electric were prepped but the location where the manufacturer had placed the decal for the vent hole would not work. The washer would be right up against that spot on the wall when installed not allowing any space for the vent hose. The techs who did the installation removed the front wall of the W/D closet (up against the front cap), modified that wall panel to route the vent hose, and cut the hole through the side wall a bit higher and farther forward than the manufacturer's decal would have had it. It looks very nice on the outside, too.

As for ventless dryers, we didn't even consider them. The condensation drying process is slow and inefficient. Our regular vented dryer works very well.

Straight down goes outside but under where the the overhang is for the 5th Wheel.

straight down? moisture goes under your rv, I go for a side wall.

Ventless dryer kits are as old a the dryer it's self. Big box and hardware stores sell them. It vents into a small container of water which is what catches all the excess lint. You change the water every time just like the dryer vent screen. Your manufacturer can tell you where the dryer vet hole goes. A stud finder will also.
