We had a Curt 24k hitch in our 2010 F450 pulling a 2009 20k 5er. DH loved it for the ease of checking if it was locked and the ride wasn't bad either.
When we upgraded the F450 to one off the lot, we found they couldn't use the Curt with the Ford rail less option. The adaptor available locally was only rated for 20k and our new 5er tops out at 21k.
So the dealer had to give us the Ford (Reese) hitch instead. Haven't towed with it, but the Curt was only 6 mos old and we had bought it to replace another Reese 22k hitch.
