Winterizing Residential refrigerators

For the ones of you that have the residential refrigerator and have to winterize for the winter, how do you winterize the ice maker? I have the 4 door Norcold with ice maker, and before we went full time I always took the ice make out and put it in the house. Really simple to keep antifreeze out of the ice tray. Seems hard with a residential. Asking because thinking of going residential and probably will not be full time for ever.

No air, just ran the RV A/F through the lines, then left the pump on, and let the ice maker go through a couple of ice making cycles until there were pink slushy ice cubes in the bin. IN the spring, just flush it out, and throw away the first few batches of cubes. Done this last two years, no problems.

Like above I also used air. Did that 3 days in a row and then ran antifreeze through all of the camper including icemaker. Idk why but it makes me feel better to use that stuff into of blowing out lines.

Antifreeze turns to slush at those temps and that's what it did in the icemaker. I then took the filters out and will replace them in the spring. Speaking of this I need to get on thay. I may try to pass on the anti freeze next year and only use air thus saving on filter cost.

I have a residential fridge and use air to winterize mine. Use a pancake type, no oil, set on 30-40 PSI. Cycle the indoor water dispenser until water out of line, and then a couple of cycles on the ice maker. No problems.

Most of the ice makers water supply lines are not inside the freezer.
If no one comes up with a better method, I would at least disconnect the water line that runs from the fridges electric valve on the back to the ice maker and let it drain out.
If it has a water dispenser there will be a small tank hidden inside the fridge someplace that will also need to be drained or protected from freezing as well.
