The X3 has 3 different versions for power, 75hp (just came out) 131 hp and 173 hp both the latter ones are turbos. I read a shootout between the top Rzr and top X3 said if you are into rock crawling go with the Rzr if you are into more open and high speed stuff or dunes go with the X3.
Now if you are going to stick to the non-turbo models and 2 seaters I would go with the Yamaha, nothing beats their reliability, and no belt is a huge bonus....now for turbos... wait for the Textron (Articat) Wildcat Turbo, they have been using the Yamaha engine with a turbo in their snowmobiles for a few years (200+ HP) and rumor is they are going to put it in a wildcat.
I wish I were in the market, looks like fun trying to decide.
