Banks

We have been fulltiming for one year and we have been with Wells Fargo for one year. We made a big circle around the United States this first year and we were able to find a Wells Fargo bank in most places. We still have our credit union in our home state, but Wells Fargo works for us as our 'traveling' bank.

We've been very pleased with Bank of America. They are nearly everywhere and have great safety features that we like and feel secure with. We have several accounts with them and use their bill pay on line. All deposits are automatic, debits the same, and can make the occasional payment on line. Some of our debits I have set up for an entire year. Have never run across a rude employee.

Wells Fargo the only one that was forced by H. Paulson to take the TARP money "for the team.

Don't plan to buy into the company. They have branches in Canada, USA and Mexico. It's hard to find coverage like that. Their Mastercard is world card which is also nice.

You and I'd go to jail for money laundering, they just pay a fine?

This bum company refused to give me a copy of my release on the title of my Truck after I paid it off, and refused to connect me to someone that spoke English to try and get it sent.

I couldn't fathom putting my hard earned money in a company that has been found to be money laundering.

We use Chase:
We can deposit checks by taking a picture of the check.
we can email money to our kids. This is now offered by several banks, Chase is one of them, but online bill pay works better in most situations because the other person has to sign up to be able to recieve emailed money. With online bill pay you can set up automatic payments wherever and whenever you want. I like it because I don't have to mail anything and they pay the postage.
Chase is in many states, so when we need cash its easy to get.

I tried Ally. They said I could sign up, no money down and send a check later. Did that. I was waiting for my welcome package and a bank card so I could withdraw cash at a bank machine. The Friday befoe a long weekend I got an e-mail "I you don't make a deposit in the next 48 hours we're closing your account".

Well, first I needed a bank account to send them a check. If I transferred my pension over to them as I had intended, I would have had no bank card and no checks until the got off their butts and sent me a welcome package via snail mail.

So, for now I'll stick with Chase, but I hear good things about HSBC,

USAA FSB is a good one out of Texas
