I can't answer your question but this happened to me,
My wife and I were driving the motorhome to FL for the winter. I sold my tow car and bought a new Odyssey van. Since we only take a car to FL for the winter I just have my son drive it down.
He was following me in the motorhome and my rear duals kicked up a stone and broke the windshield in new my Odyssey van.
When I got to FL my neighbor there was having a windshield installed by Safeguard Glass. I called Safeguard and they contacted my insurance company for me. In a couple days they came and installed a new windshield in my van.
I actually never spoke to my insurance company. Safeguard handled everything.
I wonder what my insurance company would have said if I told them a stone from my motorhome broke the windshield in my van.
I have the same insurance company for my motorhome, 2 cars and my home. My one and only insurance company ever. I've had them for 53 years. The agent was a close friend of my fathers. Now the grandson runs the agency.
