Straight Talk HotSpot

Had an ATT Hotspot w/5GB, paying $51.00 a month and not using 5GB in a month, maybe 2 at the most. So seen a Straight Talk Hotspot, bought it w/4GB card, wow I used up the 4 in no time, seems it eats up data. Does anyone have a straight Talk Hotspot.

Thanks in advance

We have the Z289L, rapid data use is an understatement. Thanks for the reply.

If you bought at Walmart you could return it and try the 2288L which is Verizon tethered. It could be that AT&T has lots of overhead when used via Straighttalk.
Coverage should be pretty equal unless you are stationary and need the AT&T where you are.
  • I have the Straight Talk U240C 3G hot spot. Seems to be pretty stingy with data usage compared to the 4G Virgin Mobil one I used to have. 4 gigs easily last me 60 days but I don't watch video. The U240C was free with the purchase of a 4 gig card.

Which straighttalk hotspot do you have?
    The 288L is Verizon tethered
    The 289L is AT&T tethered
The designation L is the latest one and supposedly cure problems found in the C. I believe this included rapid data use.
Some Walmarts still have the "C" on their shelves you have to look closely.
