Ten Year Rule

Only the very few high end resorts. Most don't. Unless you look like the Beverly Hillbillies. Non issue for most of us.

Campgrounds can make their own rules. I think almost every campground with the 10 year rule has it in place to reject delipidated, old campers. A camper that is 12 years old and is pristine probably will not be questioned.

I read your post a couple times - did you really mean 11 years or MORE or did you mean 10 years or LESS?

I every once in a while I see a help wanted on one of the workamping websites stating that the applying camp host needed to have an RV no more than 10 years old. Several will ask for a picture of your RV as I'm sure they don't want their park represented by Cousin Eddies RV even if they don't care the age of their customers RV's.

Otherwise I've never run into it either but I'm not usually looking at that class of price range when I'm searching for campgrounds.

It is what it is, their campground their rules. I believe as long as your rig looks good it is probably a non-issue, most who work in RV park offices wouldn't know the difference anyway if you fudged the numbers a bit. Nothing all of sudden goes to pot when your rig exceeds 10 years.

Thankfully we only use private parks as a last resort although our rig still qualifies under the 10 year rule. If it should happen to you don't fret just move on down the road to the next park where I'm sure your money will be appreciated. Happy Trails!!!

The 10 yr rule just gives them an easy way to exclude older rigs that may look really bad. Most likely they would not question a well kept nice looking RV older than 10 yrs if they looked out the window and saw it. But saves them having to tell someone that their RV looks bad and they should move on.
