Otherwise I've never run into it either but I'm not usually looking at that class of price range when I'm searching for campgrounds.
Interestingly I inquired about a hosting position at one of the more popular California State Parks for the winter and the ranger in charge requested a picture of my rig. So it may even happen at a public park.
