- NolanExplorerLots of sue crazy people out there. Get an umbrella policy.
- stripitExplorerMy policy also has under insured and uninsured addition coverage's. Here in Az, and probably every other state many drivers have either the bare minimum or no coverage. I didn't want to be hanging out there exposed so we added the extra coverage.

It seems that most companies I have checked with want you to have a homeowner's to qualify for an umbrella policy.
Check with Miller Insurance who are insurance agents so they have access to a number of companies.
Our full time umbrella policy was $225/year.
We also have an umbrella policy through Miller Ins. for $2,000,000.

What do you mean by an 'umbrella policy'?
It's liability insurance above and beyond what's covered in typical vehicle policies -- typically $1 million and up. It's insurance made to cover what other policies don't -- hence the term "umbrella".
Why have it? As a full timer, you have greater "liability" exposure because your home moves.
Also, just because a company calls what they sell "Full Time" insurance does't mean it has all the insurance you need on the road.
Thanks for the info on 'umbrella'
The FT policy that I have on 5vr is the same policy I had on S&B...same exact coverage.....slip/fall, dog bite, poke in the eye etc. - TechWriterExplorer
