Thanks so much everyone! This isvery encouraging...as I have struggd with mixed feelings about selling this house and hitting the road!!! I have been very unhappy being stuck in rural GA with the heat humidity and GNATS!!!! I hate em!!!
Been wanting to move away for the past 16 years but not knowing where I would like to move to!!! Just anywhere but the South!!!
This will give us a chance to see where we would really like to be...if anuwhere...if not then anywhere and everywhere will be our home. It is kind of scary to leave all that is familiar on a permanent basis!
I think it is normal to have mixed feelings. When we sold our house, of over 20 years that we built and raised our kids in, I was terrified about actually hitting the road. Change can/is scary, but, in my case anyways, has always worked out for me. Absolutely no regrets with our decision. - Us_out_WestExplorer

OMG!!! How beautiful!!! How long did you stay there? I saw the snow...really gorgeous with the snow!!
Were there any hookups?
We were there only 6 days before moving on.
We had a site (#27 Water/Electric) with the great view you see. We used their dump station on the way out.

Oh ya...the snow. Woke up to that one morning and here's the kind of view out of our big rear living room window. - MookieKatExplorerOMG!!! How beautiful!!! How long did you stay there? I saw the snow...really gorgeous with the snow!!

We are still working fulltime so our travels and schedule are still somewhat controlled by work although I have some freedom in our travel schedule.
1 Lower Stress Level
2 Meeting some great people at every stop
3 No property taxes
4 If we have a problem or do not like our neighbor's, we simply MOVE !
5 Much less stuff to keep up with
6 No Grass to Mow
7 Sleeping in our own bed every night
8 Did I say LOWER STRESS LEVEL
What do you mean..."lower stress level?" In what ways? - doxiemom11Explorer IITake a trip north in the winter (fly) and see what the cold is like. You may find that you would prefer north in the summer and south in the winter. Be advised that the north can be humid with sometimes temps in the 90's, so as we are finding as far as cold (we are from MI), there are not too many places where you can escape hot sometimes or cold sometimes.

I think you will enjoy looking for a new place to settle down eventually. I know what you mean about living in the south. I lived near Charlotte, NC for 20 years and the heat and humidity just about took me down. I never got used to it and we are both sooooo glad to be out of the humid south.
I've found lots of folks like to settle in a region near or maybe like the one they grew up in but some folks go for just the opposite.
