It depends. Most winters there will be maybe a week (total) of nights below freezing and many winters there will be no snow.
Most of the time when it does snow it will be melted by the end of the day.
Every few years (like 5) there will be enough snow to stick around for a day or two (like less then 20 cm)
Rarely (by that I mean like 20 years) that heavy rain storm will turn into a heavy snow storm and there might be a meter of snow, with frozen rain under and maybe on-top. The last time that happened power was out from Victoria to Comox, even in most towns, for days.
X3. I live on the Island & have considered this also. I have come to the conclusion that it could be done, although at a cost to your creature comforts! Yes, it can & does get cold here enough that goes down to your very core, then you spend a lot of time trying to regain that warmth! - gotsmartExplorer

I winter at a park in Sequim, WA. The winter in Sequim is about the same as described above. - romoreExplorer IIYeah. For 9 years.:( Even coming from the prairies I found it uncomfortable due to the dampness and there are very few sunny days. However it is generally mild with little or no snow although we had one winter that taxed everyone's patience. I think most could live comfortably in an rv.

Anybody winter in Vancouver or Vancouver island BC and how was it.
We live just south of Vancouver. We had 3 nights below freezing and no snow all winter. mostly high 30s or low 40s mostly low clouds and misty rain.
we have no killer weather, unless the short grey days will bore you to death.
