Bring beer into Canada

"U.S. citizens crossing the border into Canada to visit are allowed to bring the following item quantities into Canada duty free: 1.5 liters of wine, or 1.14 liters (40 ounces) of liquor, or 24 cans or bottles of beer. 1 carton (200 cigarettes), up to 50 cigars, and 200g of loose tobacco."

Better bring your own cigs if you smoke. Canadian cigs are terrible.

I heard the limits have changed lately, so double check the official sites.
Crossed Canadian border a week ago and unlike in previous visit- nobody ask me about carried alcohol, when they ask lot of question about firearms.

That's funny! When I used to smoke and was going to the states, that's what I used to say about American cigarettes!

You can bring in as much beer as you want, just declare it when asked (and they will ask).....

The catch is : there is a limit on duty free amounts and any amounts exceeding that threshold you dearly will pay for it.

Buy beer when you get to Canada. They have some good stuff up there.

Does one kill you faster than the other?

We have many many many different brands and type of beer up here for you to try. We travel back and forth across the 49th many m at times as we have relatives in the USA and we also vacation / camp in the USA, so over the years we have had the odd ( grin) occasion of having booze at the boarder going north or south.
The only reason I bring beer into the USA is if my Cuz in Oregon wants some her fav Canadian suds, other than that I have USA beer on board.
Try some of our beers up here they are pretty good.
