1995 Chevy 454 P30 overheating

Hi all!
1995 P30 with the 454 in a Georgie boy class A.
Engine overheats at idle, at cruise speed it runs fine, around 200*. At idle or moving slow in city traffic it gets hot, I've seen it hit the red line on the gauge, shut it down, let it cool and it runs good again at higher speeds, slow it down and it gets hot again.
So far I've eliminated the fan clutch with a direct drive spacer and cleaned the radiator real good. I'm thinking either the water pump needs help or the thermostat replaced, or both. If I do that I will give the whole cooling system a good flush while I'm at it. I'm also thinking about a 180* thermostat and a high volume water pump.
What are your thoughts?
