2004 country couch

Hello again,
What do y'all think about a 2004 country couch 36 ft. Allure Pendleton ? It has a Cummins 8.9 isl 370hp 1200t is this a good engine? It has 130000 miles is this going to be reliable?
Thanks for your help.
Jim
  • Jim, if you are talking about the 2004 36' Allure Pendleton available in North Carolina you are in for a real treat. That coach is owned by a retired commercial pilot who maintains it like it is his aircraft.
  • We have a 2004 Country Coach Allure and love it. Ours has that many miles on it. As long as it was well maintained I wouldn't hesitate to buy another CC. Very well built coach. The factory is back open for repairs in Junction City, OR. There is a Yahoo Group for Country Coach owners. Join that group and ask specific questions. Have someone check the Hydro Hot and make sure it's working.
  • The '04 models are great coaches. If you like the floor plan. it is even better. The ISL motor is a great motor. 130,000 is nothing, it should be good for another 2-300,000. There is always the chance of a catastrophic failure but that can happen to a motor with 500 miles. The shorter Country "Couches" are in high demand and the prices reflect it.
  • Country Coach good. Country Couch is just a log beside your cabin in the woods. Not good.
  • Country Coach was a quality built RV. Make sure the maintenance has been done and ask for maintenance records to prove that it was done. Be sure you know what maintenance should have been done over the years. Also, check to see if there is paint checking on the sidewalls. If you are not familiar with that, so a forum search and you get lots of information about it.
  • Boy, that's a big couch. You must have a very large living room. And it has it's own engine. What will they think of next. :W

All kidding aside, Country Coach made an excellent motor home regardless of size or year. I don't believe you can go wrong getting one. The ISL has been around a long time and that one is free of the smog additions. 130K is a lot of miles, but I bet it has that much and more still left.....if it has been taken care of. Do you know the previous owner or have any maintenance documentation?

    Good luck

    Ron
